So much going on and Ryan broke his leg. Thanks to you all as you have really helped lift our spirits.
Some Good News :
The bacteria is gone from Ryan's system ( Blood & Large Intestine). When this was 1st discovered we were told if this continues to spread it would become lethal. This is wonderful news. His leg is healing better than anticipated; again they were quite concerned due to his poor health that this would last much longer than normal. The blockage he had in his colon is gone. The procedure worked! Due to everyone's assistance, prayer & well wishes we have made some progress. I don't know how to thank you guys.
Ryan is doing the alternative medicine, following an organic diet, etc, something that he does tell us helps in both body & mind. Some of you wonderful people got him Hockey tickets, so we were able to do a family event with Ryan & he got a chance to see two games. Unfortunately the Leafs did win one.
What's going on now:
Ryan still is experiencing sleepless nights, some times hot/cold sweats. Of course, the doctors are very much alarmed about this. He is now at the new cancer center in Oshawa with new doctors. His cancer doctor went back to the Netherlands on a medical emergency & they don't know if he will be coming back. This has slowed down Ryan's treatments & results from the hospital. They have detected "ruffage" in his colon again, they have taken some samples & we should know more next week. This could be tumors, flat growth, etc.
I guess the last thing I have to say is ; you see this stuff happening in movies, read about it in newspapers, but try living it. It's really a nightmare roller-coaster and there is no wrong way and there is no right way. One more thing I love you guys and when we get through this , the party is at our house. It's already planned for Ryan's 50th birthday and both Donna & I will be too old to remember anything ( Perfect !).
